Big Girls

Addie is now 9 months! Unbelievable that a birthday is just around the corner for her! She has 2 teeth now. They came within days of each other so that was no fun for her. Fever, not sleeping, and just plain cranky. Maybe no fun for all of us actually. She is almost sitting up on her own, but still needs some support after a little bit. She pushes up with her arms and legs so we'll have a crawler on our hands soon. Can't wait to see how Kadence reacts to that!

Kadence has finally met the 30 pound mark. She was hanging at just under 30 for forever! She's definitely petite! She loves to sing and make up her own songs. I love to hear her make things up...reminds me of her daddy! :) She loves to read books! And will finally listen to a whole story before moving on to a new book. She can't wait to choose a few books before bedtime and crawl into bed. It has become our new ritual each night. She also loves putting on fashion shows. Good gracious! The girl changes clothes and panties more than anyone I've ever known!

They sure make my days enjoyable! Never a dull moment around this house! But I wouldn't imagine or want it any other way!

Hello There!

I know, I know...it's been awhile! I've been a very bad blogger! So let's try to play catch up. My little babies are growing faster than the speed of light! I can't believe how much they both change in just a day. I'm so busy all the time, but I do take time to just sit back and watch...trying to take it all in. Kadence is still trying to figure out how to be a big sister. Sometimes she still doesn't want to have anything to do with Addie. Those few moments when she gives Addie attention are the sweetest ever! Addie would much rather watch/play with Kadence than with anyone she comes in contact with. And the smiles and giggles she gives Kadence are the biggest and loudest. She definitely LOVES her big sister more than anyone in the world! As of a few weeks ago Addie weighed almost 18 pounds, and Kmae...30 pounds! Hmmm, 7 1/2 months and 3 1/2 years. My "Paula Bunyan" is a healthy girl! :) She rolls everywhere and babbles quite loudly! Guess she gets that loudness from her sister! Or me? Ha! I love them the whole world full!

My Big Sister is the Coolest

She lets me lay on her pillow and plays with me.

She lets me in the bath with her sometimes.
She gets in my bed with me, and sings to me.
I LOVE watching and listening to her!
She shows me how to color.

And she lets me lay in her bed...until I get cranky.
Wow! Big sisters are the best!

Addie is 3 months! (almost)

Where does the time go? I feel like she was just born! She has grown SO fast! I think I blinked once and here we are 3 months later.

She is thankfully sleeping through the night, and has for about a month now! There are still those few nights that she gets up once to eat, but those are fewer and fewer now. She usually gets up around 5:00 or so but usually goes right back to sleep after eating. She is smiling, cooing, and laughing now! I missed those noises! They melt my heart everytime! I may not have brushed my teeth, changed clothes, or showered but she doesn't care! She locks those eyes on mine...and love! (Kmae will tell me...."Mama, your breath stinks!") She also LOVES watching her big sister. She follows her with her eyes as much as she can. She is going to crawl after her before we know it.

Our tweedle dumplin' is 13 pounds and fastly approaching 30 pounds! :) This girl LOVES to eat! She can't get enough and acts like she's never been fed at each feeding. She eats about 6 ounces every 3-4 hours. She will eat us out of our home by the time she turns 1! I think I'm ready to try cereal...crazy! I actually bought some awhile back, but haven't brought myself to make any. That's just another reminder that she's growing up too fast. With Kadence we knew we'd eventually have another baby so her milestones were new and exciting. Not that Adalynn's little milestones aren't exciting, but it also makes me a little sad. It makes me think...oh, that's the last time we'll hear/see a "first" of something. It also makes me remember when Kmae did those things, and how big she is now and how I miss her being a little baby. However, it DOES NOT make me want to be pregnant again! I am SO extremely blessed and thanful to have 2 beautiful and healthy baby girls! God could not have given me anything better! I never could have imagined my life the way it is now, and for that...I am truly humbled and grateful beyond words!
