First Haircut

We FINALLY broke down and cut her bangs!!! I know....I can hear the sigh of relief! It was actually on May 9th, so I'm a little behind. We don't have any pictures of the event because it took both of us to accomplish this task. We did have the video camera set up, but I can't post from that so this is all you get. We kept her in her high chair after dinner and had Pooh on. She didn't move a muscle while I was combing and getting her bangs evened out. And then she saw the scissors. Of course she wanted to inspect the new device, so Jason took a quick snip before she could get her hands on the shiny blades...and the damage was done! It's not the best in the world but she's not a shaggy baby anymore! And as long as her hair is combed to the side you can't tell.

Playing in the Sprinkler

We got the sprinkler/mister out yesterday afternoon. She thought it was a new toy and wanted to carry it around the yard and play with it. Then Jason hooked it up to the hose and she didn't know what to think about her new toy then. She just stood and watched Jason run through it a few times. She just kept saying "WOW!" Finally she went with him a few times, and that was that! She took off on her own! Definitely a great buy from Toys R Us!

Hunting Trip Part 2

So we really did get to do more than watch the rain. There were moments of "clear skies" when we got to explore and play. Kadence stayed at Nana and Papa's house while we endured the weather at the cabin. Nana was kind enough to bring her to visit us after her morning nap each day. And we managed to get her all wet and muddy before getting back in Nana's nice clean car.
















The trip sure has brought on new meaning since having her. What a blessing children are!!
