The pictures can speak for themselves!!!! Kadence LOVES to feed herself. We have to give her her own spoon now. She tries to get the food herself but we usually have to put the food on the spoon for her, and then she feeds herself. But she still won't hold her own bottle....go figure!! Spoiled!

Our Wedding Anniversary

Jason surprised me with a weekend getaway for just the 2 of us for our anniversary!!! Last Saturday morning his parents came over to see Kadence before they went back to Batesville. His mom walked in the door and said, "Are you packed?" Jason looks at me and tells me to pack my toothbrush and a change of clothes! He wouldn't tell me where we were going or any other information! So we kissed baby girl bye and left for who knows where!

We ended up at a cabin in Eureka Springs which was absolutely amazing!!! You can't tell just how spacious and clean it was from the pictures. It was so relaxing yet odd to not have Kadence with us! I found myself listening for her. It had been a LONG time since we have truly "exhaled" and not had to be on alert for a toddler!

I was excited to come home to see her, but definitely could have stayed a few more nights.

Pumpkin Patch #2

We went back to the pumpkin patch but picked tomatoes this time! Nothin' like home grown red ripe tomatoes! And a few green tomatoes to fry up later!

Happy Halloween!

Of course our little punkin was dressed as a punkin for Halloween! What else would make sense???

We all ventured to the square after I got off work. Our first stop was the fire station.....what a big surprise!!! Then we continued our walk towards the square. I was extremely thankful for such nice weather. We didn't walk by any of the businesses for candy because we all know who would really be eating it! We did enjoy all of the dogs and other small children...well, that was what Kadence was enjoying the most. Then at some point she found herself a leaf and held on to it for the remainder of the time. She dropped it a few times and proceeded to pick up the exact same leaf each time. Don't ask me how she knew the difference amongst the many leaves but she did! Maybe because hers was all wet with her slobber and chew marks!! Yummy!

My 1st Birthday!!

I can't believe our baby is one!!!!! It doesn't seem like a year since we brought her home from the hospital! It's remarkable at how much she has grown and developed over this last year! What a journey for all of us!!!

It's been a few days since the big weekend, but it's taken me this long to recover and process that my baby is a big girl now!!

I took off on Friday so Jason and I were both home on her actual birthday. We filled the house with balloons and a huge Pooh early that morning. So when she got up, she was surprised with instant fun! After her breakfast we let her open a present but saved the rest for her party. After a brief nap....I guess she decided she didn't have to nap on her big day....we headed to the pumpkin patch!!! It was the BEST time ever! Kadence smiled from ear to ear the entire time. She didn't get upset once! I think we could have spent the entire afternoon there but someone needed a nap!! She never cried, but we knew we were about to overstep her limits!!

So after some much needed rest...for all 3 of us...we carved one of the pumpkins. And you'll never guess what we (and by "we" I mean Jason) carved into the pumpkin.....drumroll......Pooh!!!

Saturday was her party....Thanks to everyone who made her special day even more special!!!!!!!!! She LOVES all of her new "big girl" toys!! And the cake pictures speak for themselves!! She didn't really use her hands that much!! I never expected her to dive right in with her face! One lick of that icing and that's all she needed! YUM! And she never got sick! She was such a trooper! She's not use to so many people and so much craziness in the house, but she never got cranky until right before bedtime. We were so proud of her! She really showed what a fantastic toddler she really is! Did I just say toddler???? Happy Birthday Miss Mae!!!!!
