Go Hogs!

My first tailgate party!!! I had SO much fun just watching and listening to everything going on! I wish I could have stayed longer but I had to go home and take a nap. Maybe next year I'll be big enough to go to the game.

I already know how to call those hogs! "Wooooooooooo Pig Sooie!"

10 Months Old

Our little girl is 10 months old! Wasn't I just posting about her being 9 months old???? Where does the time go! I seem to say that a lot!!!

Miss Kadence has mastered the art of crawling! As soon as she transitioned from the army crawl she became a little speed demon! Especially when she is after something she wants. She also enjoys playing hide-n-seek with Daddy! He will hide behind the furniture or go to another room and call for her. She will instantly start listening and crawl towards him. She will grin from ear to ear when she finds him. Then she will look over at me as if to say, "Look Mommy, I did it! Did you see me?" She will pull up on anything or anyone she can reach. Her favorite still seems to be when we lay in the floor with her. We think she's starting to get another top tooth. Just when we thought we were done teething for awhile this one starts. I hope and pray that this one comes in easier than the first top tooth.

She changes so much everyday it's hard to keep track of it all! She's a little sponge that tries to soak everything in as much as she can! I just love watching her experience new things. She is definitely growing into her own personality. It's funny to watch her expressions and imagine what she would say if she could talk. And I know that way too soon that will become a reality!

My Angel

To my precious baby girl---
From the moment you were born my life changed forever. I never knew how love could overwhelm me so instantly. I have never been full of so much joy in all my life. All I need is to hear your heart-warming voice or look into your innocent eyes and I am simply overcome with emotion. Your smile and your laugh make me melt. The look on your face when you see me for the first time after waking up is priceless. You have become my whole world. You have made me want to become a better woman because I now look at myself through your eyes. I love you more than you will ever know....I love you the whole world full!

Tomorrow will be a new day in our journey together as mother and daughter. School starts soon and I have to start tomorrow morning. I feel extremely blessed to have been able to stay at home with you for the past 10 months. I have been able to share in all of your discoveries about life and cheer you on along the way. I want you to know that even though I may not be here with you all day, you will be in my heart. I will be rushing home each day to wrap my arms around you.

I know that you will be taken very good care of and you are going to have so much fun! Daddy can't wait to have you all to himself on his days off! I'm sure he has lots of things planned for the two of you. Don't tell him all of our secrets!!

Your Nana is also ecstatic about being able to keep you! She has promised to try and keep you on your schedule and to not spoil you too much.

Always remember how much I love you and how much I have cherished these unforgettable days with you. I lub you punkin!

Changing Everyday!

This has been a week of new developments! First, we have a "real" crawler on our hands!!!! Yippie!!! I really was convinced she would army crawl until she learned to walk. But, as usual, she surprises me! She is now using her hands and knees to crawl! However, we still see the little soldier from time to time!

And...we have a top tooth!!! And it was a VERY stubborn tooth! She had an extremely difficult time with this one. It took almost the whole week to finally pop through those gums. Poor thing! But now all is well, thankfully! I guess with the 3rd tooth she felt the need to finally chew! Eating is so much more fun! We are starting to experiment again, so I'll keep you updated on any new foods. Right now she still adores the gerber cheese puffs....and chewing them up instead of sucking them!

Way to go, baby girl!! Mommy and Daddy are SO proud of you!

More Lake Adventures

We finally took Kadence back to the lake since the weather had cooled down a little bit. As you know....the little princess doesn't do well in the heat. So we took advantage of the "cold front" (ha!) and headed to Beaver. She LOVED the water this time!!

Cousins

My Huckleberry came over to see me yesterday and we had the bestest of times! I'm getting better at petting instead of slapping. And Huck is getting better at sitting still so I can perfect this skill.

9 Months Old

Being 9 months old is tough but somebody's gotta do it!!!!


Still "army" crawling...I'm convinced this is what she will do until she learns to walk! She is pulling up more, mainly in her crib and on us when we are laying on the floor with her. Still eating the same foods, haven't really tried anything new. She likes the Gerber biscuits and toasts, but we have to really watch her so she doesn't choke. We have talked about putting her "big girl" car seat in the car, but can't bring ourselves to even try her in it in the house! She is definitely about to outgrow the "baby" car seat so I'll keep you updated on when we finally breakdown and try it. I can't believe I'll be planning a birthday soon!! Where does the time go????
